2023 Global AMOLED Phone Screens: 40% Made in China

In the past two years, domestic technology companies have been continuously developing their own domestic brands in areas such as chips, screens, memory, and imaging, achieving localization of parts. The most successful area should be in screens, with domestic screen technology led by BOE continuously breaking through and gradually going global, achieving a rise. According to the latest news, the global shipment volume of AMOLED phone screens in 2023 was announced, with domestic products accounting for 40% of the market.

Recently, the market research firm CINNO Research released the rankings of global AMOLED phone screen shipment volume in 2023. From the rankings, it can be seen that among the top seven screen brands, 2 are from Samsung and 5 are from China. In terms of overall market share, Korean manufacturers hold 56.8%, while domestic manufacturers hold 43.2%, making domestic screens account for over 40% of the global shipment volume, positioning China as the world’s second largest producer of screens.

In terms of specific brands, Samsung Display (South Korea) holds 50% market share, a decrease of 8.2% over the previous year; BOE (China) holds 16% market share, an increase of 44.7% over the previous year; Visionox (China) holds 10% market share, an increase of 68.4% over the previous year; Tianma Display (China) holds 7% market share, a significant increase of 259.4% over the previous year; LG Display (South Korea) holds 7% market share; CSOT (China) holds 6% market share; and Truly (China) holds 4% market share.
