Automatically Clean Your Hard Drive on Windows 11

Today, Microsoft has shared a little tip: Since you’re using Windows 11, why not let your computer automatically clean up for you?

By enabling the storage sense feature, your computer can automatically free up space by cleaning out recycle bin files and temporary files, helping your memory space to “slim down” without you having to lift a finger.

The default condition for execution is “when the available hard disk space is low,” and users can opt for the cleanup to occur daily, weekly, or monthly.

Once this feature is activated, files in the recycle bin will be automatically deleted after 30 days (by default).

Moreover, users can also delete junk files on specific hard drives, including delivery optimization files, downloaded files, temporary files, thumbnails, antivirus files, and more.
