On January 30th, Beijing time, Elon Musk announced on the social platform X that the first human received an implant from the brain-machine interface company Neuralink yesterday and is currently recovering well. Preliminary results show promising performance in detecting neuron spikes.

Neuralink’s first product is called “Telepathy.” According to Musk, it allows control of phones or computers with mere thoughts and can be used to control almost any device through them. The initial users will be those with impaired limb functionality.
