Huawei P70 Series Leaks and Rumors
Last month, Huawei hosted a new product launch event, introducing the new nova 12 series smartphones and other products. With the release of this new generation of nova phones, rumors about Huawei’s upcoming new devices have started to surface.
The blogger @Digital Chat Station recently leaked information, stating, “The nova 12 series is selling really well. Huawei’s market share in China returned to the top in the first week. Additionally, in the first half of this year, there will be the P70 series imaging flagship and a mass-produced compact foldable screen. The Kirin without G platform continues to be refined, essentially making a full comeback.”
According to the leaks, it seems that the all-new Huawei P70 series imaging flagship and the next generation compact foldable screen smartphone will be launched in the first half of this year.
In the latest leak from the same blogger, it was mentioned, “50Mp± IMX989 physical variable aperture main camera + 50Mp± ultra-wide-angle + 50Mp± 4X periscope telephoto macro lens, there may be cropping.”
Although the leak does not specify the specific series of the new devices, speculations suggest that it is likely referring to the brand-new Huawei P70 series.
According to another leak from the same blogger, the Huawei P70 series will feature the OV50H main camera, utilizing a physical variable aperture solution.
Combining these leaks, it is anticipated that the OV50H sensor and the IMX989 sensor will be utilized in different models within the Huawei P70 series.
Reportedly, the Huawei P70 series is expected to include three models: Huawei P70, Huawei P70 Pro, and Huawei P70 Art.
As a reference, the previous generation Huawei P60 featured a 48MP super sensing camera (F1.4~F4.0 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization) + 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture) + 12MP periscope telephoto camera (F3.4 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization); the Huawei P60 Pro featured a 48MP super sensing camera (F1.4~F4.0 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization) + 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture) + 48MP super sensing night vision telephoto camera (F2.1 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization); the Huawei P60 Art featured a 48MP super sensing camera (F1.4~F4.0 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization) + 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture) + 48MP super sensing night vision telephoto camera (F2.1 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization).
Based on the comparison of the previous generation devices and the leaked information, it is expected that the upcoming Huawei P70 series will bring a completely new upgrade in terms of imaging capabilities.
In terms of other specifications, the Huawei P70 series will feature a 1.5K deep micro-curved screen, a 6.7-inch conventional large narrow screen, stereo speakers, and a high-density battery with a capacity starting at 5.
In addition, tech blogger @Digital Chat Station previously revealed a rendering of the Huawei P70.
Based on the rendering, the new device will once again adjust the design of the rear camera module. It will feature a wider rear camera module than the previous generation, including a larger main camera lens and two smaller lenses, as well as flash components.
In terms of overall design, the Huawei P70 series adopts a rounded transition design between the back panel and the side frame, equipped with a metal side frame, and the power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device.
