Major Breakthrough: Musk Announces Successful Brain Chip Implant
A recent report confirms the successful implantation of a brain-machine interface (Neuralink) chip in humans. Developed by Elon Musk’s company Neuralink, this technology aims to achieve “cure important diseases” and “symbiosis with artificial intelligence,” allowing paralyzed patients to regain mobility and helping blind individuals to see again.
Musk made this announcement on the X platform, stating that the initial results indicate promising neural spike detections. He also shared a test video of the brain-machine interface, showcasing the latest developments in the technology, which garnered widespread attention.
During the implantation, a 9-year-old rhesus monkey named “Pager” was able to control a computer game using its thoughts through the implanted Neuralink device. Researchers used a metal straw filled with tasty banana smoothie to motivate Pager for the testing. Pager demonstrated the ability to learn to control a computer through its brain activity.
It’s important to note that despite this successful implantation, further research and development are still required to ensure the safety and effectiveness of this technology.
