Webb Captures 19 Galaxies

Latest Images from Webb Space Telescope Reveal 19 Spiral Galaxies in the Vicinity of the Milky Way

On January 29, local time, the latest images taken by the Webb Space Telescope were released, showcasing 19 spiral galaxies that are relatively close to the Milky Way. These images provide new clues about star formation, galaxy structure, and evolution.

The new observations come from Webb’s Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI). They reveal approximately 100,000 star clusters and millions of stars.
