Nothing Phone (2a) Coming Soon, Focusing on Core Experience

In July 2022, Nothing Corporation officially launched its first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1). The unique transparent design of the Nothing Phone (1) has attracted considerable attention. Last July, the company also released its second smartphone, Nothing Phone (2).

Recently, Nothing Corporation announced the upcoming launch of its third smartphone model, Nothing Phone (2a).

Moreover, co-founder of Nothing Corporation, Akis Evangelidis, explained in an official update video the reasons behind the decision to introduce the new model.

Akis revealed that in 2023, the company focused on the second generation of Nothing Phone, aiming to “enhance user experience and provide flagship-level performance.” Although the Nothing Phone (1) from 2022 was well-received, it was positioned as a mid-range model. In contrast, Nothing Phone (2) took the user experience to a new level.

Akis mentioned that they identified two types of demands among users: a group seeking the latest tech-savvy configurations and another group valuing core functionalities while hoping to experience Nothing’s unique innovative software and hardware designs. Therefore, Nothing Phone (2a) caters to the latter demand, optimizing performance, camera features, among others, drawing from the highlights of Nothing Phone (2) and providing a comprehensive upgrade over Nothing Phone (1).

Previously, the configuration details of Nothing Phone (2a) were leaked online.

Regarding the screen, Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
