Apple Announces Over 600 Apps for Vision Pro Headset

On February 1st, IT Home reported that Apple announced the release of more than 600 spatial applications specifically designed for the Vision Pro headset, which will be launched in the United States this Friday.


These applications optimized for Vision Pro include Airmail, Box, CARROT Weather, Disney+, Fantastical, Facades, JigSpace, MUBI, Night Sky, OmniPlan 4, Parcel, PCalc, Red Bull TV, Sky Guide, Tides, Webex, Zoom, and many others. Microsoft 365 suite apps such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word also natively support visionOS.

Apple stated that these applications make full use of Vision Pro’s unique features, including an infinitely expandable virtual screen, an intuitive three-dimensional user interface, and interaction through eye, gesture, and voice, fundamentally changing the way people interact in entertainment, work, and other fields. Vision Pro creates a boundless virtual space for users, breaking the limitations of traditional displays. Users can interact through an intuitive three-dimensional interface using their eyes, gestures, and voice. Whether it’s immersive viewing, collaborative work, or virtual travel, Vision Pro offers unprecedented experiences.

One of the applications, PGA Tour Vision, was highlighted, and Scott Gutterman, Senior Vice President of Digital Operations at PGA TOUR, stated: “Through the power of Apple Vision Pro and spatial computing, we are able to provide an innovative immersive experience, allowing golf enthusiasts to experience professional golf events up close. PGA TOUR Vision is the first golf application developed specifically for Apple Vision Pro, allowing fans to feel as if they are at world-renowned courses like Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass, regardless of their location.”

IT Home also noted that the NBA app has debuted on the Vision Pro platform, allowing fans to simultaneously watch up to five different live games and view scores and statistics.


HBO Chairman Casey Bloys added, “Through the Max app developed specifically for Apple Vision Pro, fans can transform their space into the Great Hall of the Iron Throne and immerse themselves in classic scenes from ‘Game of Thrones.’ Exquisite decorations of the Targaryen dynasty will make fans feel as if they are in the era of Westeros under the rule of this dynasty, providing an immersive viewing experience of the content offered by the Max app.”


Furthermore, over a million apps compatible with iOS and iPadOS will automatically be available at the launch of Vision Pro.
