iPhone 16 Leaked: New Shutter Button, Vertical Layout Returns

Introduction to iPhone 16 Series Leaks

iPhone 16

As we await the release of the iPhone 16 series, rumors and leaks about these upcoming models continue to surface. Recently, a foreign blogger shared a set of renderings that are believed to depict the new iPhone 16 models.

From the images, it is noticeable that the front of the phone features a Dynamic Island design. However, there is a change in the arrangement of the rear cameras, adopting a vertical dual-camera design. Apple has been featuring vertical dual-camera designs since the release of the iPhone X, but it was only from the iPhone 13 onwards that they started using a diagonal dual-camera design.

Camera Setup

In addition to the camera setup modifications, there have been previous leaks suggesting that the iPhone 16 series will include a dedicated shutter button. From the images, this button seems to be positioned alongside the power button, with a size similar to the power button. Interestingly, this button is rumored to be mechanical rather than solid-state. It is said to be able to respond to touch and pressure intensity. For instance, sliding left or right could zoom in or out, light pressing could focus, while a firm press could capture a photo or begin recording.

Shutter Button

According to the latest leaks, the standard version of the iPhone 16 will support spatial video shooting, highlighting Apple’s emphasis on Vision Pro. Furthermore, the standard version of the iPhone 16 series is expected to upgrade to 8GB of RAM, paired with the A18 Bionic chip.

It’s important to note that all the information provided is based on leaked sources and should be taken with a grain of salt. It is anticipated that the iPhone 16 series will enter the testing phase in April. However, until it is officially confirmed, there might still be numerous changes ahead.
