Huawei P70: No Mystery, Cheaper than Mate 60

Huawei P70 Series – Pricing, Color Options, and Camera Specifications

Recently, insider sources have revealed that the pricing of the Huawei P70 series is not significantly different from the Mate 60 series. However, this does not mean that the starting price of the P70 series will directly be 5499 yuan. This difference in pricing strategy signifies the positioning of the products, with the Huawei P70 series expected to be cheaper than the Mate 60 series.

Additionally, sources also indicate that the Huawei P70 series will definitely offer a white version, although it may not necessarily be the classic “Coco White” color.

The “Coco White” is a classic color option from the Huawei P60 series, created using a luminous mother-of-pearl process that incorporates natural mineral powders into the back cover of the phone. Each natural mother-of-pearl possesses unique characteristics, making every Coco White-colored phone distinct in its texture.

The texture of Coco White color is entirely unpredictable, leading some consumers to compare buying this color to opening a blind box. To select a preferred texture, some users even resort to returning and repurchasing multiple times.

Users who seek a personalized appearance will surely appreciate the Coco White option, but the experience of blind box purchases can be frustrating. It is understandable why Huawei decided to eliminate this design in the P70 series.

As a flagship in imaging capabilities, the Huawei P70 series boasts solid camera specifications. In terms of the main camera, it features the 1-inch IMX 989 large sensor. However, this sensor will only be equipped in certain models, likely in the Huawei P70 Art and Huawei P70 Pro, while the standard version of the Huawei P70 will use domestic alternative lenses.

Sources reveal that the Huawei P70 is equipped with the OV50H sensor, another large sensor supporting 50 million pixels with a 1/1.3-inch photosensitive area. With a single pixel size of 1.2μm and a 2.4μm equivalent large-size pixel under the four-in-one pixel, it also offers a variable aperture module, presenting excellent overall imaging performance.
