iPhone 16: Ultimate Model! Camera Layout Set

Apple’s Ultimate Standard Version! iPhone 16 Camera Layout Confirmed

On February 8th, leaks surfaced on social media revealing the design of the iPhone 16, featuring a vertical dual-camera layout similar to the iPhone X.

The leaker pointed out that the reason behind the design choice for the iPhone 16 standard version is to enable spatial video recording.

As we know, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can record spatial videos, allowing users to watch the content recorded by the iPhone 15 Pro series in 3D format on Vision Pro.

This is because when held horizontally, the main wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are aligned on the same horizontal line, enabling the recording of spatial videos.

In contrast, the cameras of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are designed diagonally, preventing them from recording spatial videos.

With the upcoming launch of the iPhone 16 in the second half of this year, Apple will change the camera position to a vertical dual-camera setup, allowing the standard version to also record spatial videos.

Reports suggest that this is the final design of the iPhone 16, with minor adjustments possible in the final production units, but the vertical dual-camera design is here to stay.

Moreover, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a periscope telephoto lens. By increasing the size, Apple will provide more internal space for the iPhone 16 Pro to accommodate the periscope lens.
