Noteworthily, Huawei also introduced an art custom version with 3D design, priced at 10,999 yuan.

In addition to possessing various advantages comparable to traditional flat-screen phones, the Huawei Pocket 2 has been upgraded in terms of imaging capabilities, Xuanwu phone hinge, dual-way Beidou satellite communication, and IPX8 level waterproofing up to 2 meters. Following these upgrades, the Huawei Pocket 2 has become a competitively strong new model of foldable phones in the current market.

Specifically, the Huawei Pocket 2 features an enlarged internal screen size of 6.94 inches with a resolution of 2690 x 1136, a battery capacity of 4520mAh, a thickness of only 7.35mm, and a weight of 199g, providing exceptional grip and hand feel. The Xuanwu droplet hinge has played a significant role in reducing the device size. This hinge has also increased the supporting force by 41% and impact resistance by 112%. Huawei claimed during the launch event that this hinge allows the Huawei Pocket 2 to achieve “ultimate smoothness,” providing users with a reliable and secure experience when opening and closing the device frequently.

The hinge upgrade equips the Huawei Pocket 2 with the ability for easy opening and closing as well as stable support, while the full-focus XMAGE quad-camera system enhances the photography capabilities of this foldable phone.

According to the specifications, the Huawei Pocket 2 features a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP main camera supporting optical image stabilization, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide macro camera. Notably, the Huawei Pocket 2 also includes a hyperspectral camera supporting the 350mm-390mm UV wavelength range, enabling sunscreen application detection comparable to professional skin testing devices, with an accuracy rate as high as 98.7%.

The new device runs on HarmonyOS, with a standout feature on the Huawei Pocket 2 being the support for the external screen to remain on constantly. Users can customize this feature according to their preferences, such as displaying intelligent avatars, cute pets, or fun moods. Additionally, Huawei has provided various protective cases for the new device to meet diverse personalized demands.
