Xiaomi Unveils the New Camera Flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra

On February 19, [快科技 (Tech Fast)] reported that Xiaomi’s latest imaging flagship, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, is scheduled for release on February 22. The official preheating campaign for the new device has already begun.

Today, Xiaomi released a statement from the CEO of Leica Camera Company regarding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, stating, “This imaging system is our latest collaboration effort, introducing a new generation of top-tier Summilux lenses in the field of mobile optical imaging.”

Bringing together the most elite teams in mobile optics from Xiaomi and Leica, the “Xiaomi x Leica Optical Research Institute” will continue to develop cutting-edge mobile optical imaging systems that lead the era forward.

It is known that in Leica’s lens products, Summilux represents a larger F1.4 aperture, which is Leica’s best-selling lens allowing for shallower depth of field, making it more suitable for portrait photography, and it is being introduced for the first time in the Xiaomi 14 series.

As the supreme ruler in imaging, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature the Leica Summilux flagship dual telephoto lenses, claiming to “usher in the era of large-aperture dual telephoto lenses for smartphones.”

This includes a 75mm vertical telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom support and a 120mm periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom support.

The main camera will be equipped with the second-generation one-inch image sensor — Sony LYT-900, boasting 50 million pixels, a 1/0.98-inch ultra-large base, with each pixel size reaching 1.6μm.
