Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s first photo samples released, featuring large aperture lenses across all focal lengths, though the ultra-wide angle may not be upgraded.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Unveils Its Camera Features Ahead of February 22 Launch

Perhaps due to prior leaks of its design, Xiaomi revealed official images of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s exterior early on. The rear camera module of the device follows a design similar to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra but without the protruding bump, giving it a more streamlined look.

Today, Xiaomi also released sample photos taken with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, shedding light on the camera setup of this upcoming flagship phone.

For instance, contrary to the lack of mention in official teasers, the ultra-wide angle lens of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra appears to be 12mm with an aperture of f/1.8. These specifications match those of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, indicating a possible absence of upgrades in this aspect.

Additionally, among the sample photos, there is a 35mm shot, likely captured with the Leica classic lens for human subjects. It is worth mentioning that portrait photography has not been a strong suit of Xiaomi’s flagship cameras. Will there be noticeable improvements in this regard this time?

The sample images mainly showcase the performance of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s telephoto and main lenses, as these are the key areas of enhancement in the camera setup.

The primary camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra features the second-generation one-inch Sony image sensor LYT-900, supporting the second-generation stepless variable aperture with a maximum aperture of f/1.63. As for telephoto capabilities, it offers a 75mm upright telephoto with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 120mm periscope telephoto with an aperture of f/2.5, both utilizing the IMX858 sensor and supporting telephoto macro photography.
