As a new product of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series, both the hardware specifications and software features have seen significant improvements. Additionally, the interconnectivity capabilities have reached unprecedented heights, unlocking more possibilities for efficient mobile work. Specifically, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro features a 12.4-inch 3K resolution LCD screen. LCD, short for Liquid Crystal Display, consists of liquid crystals placed between two parallel glass pieces. These glasses contain many vertical and horizontal fine wires that control the direction of rod-shaped crystal molecules by determining whether they are electrified or not, refracting light to produce images. While many large smartphone manufacturers now introduce tablets that use OLED screens, reflecting the trend in the smartphone market, it is likely to also influence the tablet market.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro has been upgraded to a 3K ultra-high resolution with a 144Hz high refresh rate, making it the most delicate large-screen tablet product. The new 3:2 screen ratio allows for displaying more content vertically, making it more suitable for tasks such as handling documents, replying to messages, and other mobile office scenarios. In my opinion, a higher screen refresh rate enhances user experience, especially when playing games or watching videos, making a high refresh rate screen an essential feature.

In terms of core specifications, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. According to public information available on the internet, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 features a new CPU architecture, including a large core, three large cores, and four small cores, leading to a comprehensive improvement in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor. Qualcomm, the chip supplier, states that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s CPU performance has increased by 35% and its energy efficiency by 40% compared to the previous generation. The new Adreno GPU architecture integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 boosts graphics processing performance by 25% and enhances energy efficiency by 45%. Besides, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 also supports hardware-level ray tracing technology, offering mobile gamers more realistic visual effects.

Moreover, this Xiaomi tablet supports LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory, along with Xiaomi’s proprietary technologies such as “storage expansion” and “storage renewal.” The 256GB version provides an additional 8GB of space, the 512GB version offers an additional 16GB of space, and the 1TB version includes an extra 32GB of space. Currently, tablets introduced by manufacturers like Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Samsung in terms of storage combinations are on par with smartphones.

Regarding charging and battery life, the leaked information on the internet confirmed that the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro is equipped with a 10000mAh large battery supporting 120W fast charging, capable of reaching 50% battery in just 15 minutes. Due to their larger size, tablets can accommodate bigger batteries compared to smartphones. More importantly, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro significantly improves fast charging power, thereby reducing the user’s charging time.

Furthermore, this tablet also supports Wi-Fi 7 and comes pre-installed with the Penglai OS system. An interesting highlight of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, as observed by industry experts, is its support for remote PC control, allowing users to operate their PC remotely using the tablet to perform high-performance tasks like coding or video rendering as if the computer were right beside them.

In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is available in three color options: black, wilderness green, and cloud peak blue, with four storage combinations. The 8GB+256GB version is priced at 3299 yuan, the 12GB+256GB version at 3599 yuan, the 12GB+512GB version at 3999 yuan, and the 16GB+1TB version at 4499 yuan.
