Xiaomi 15 to sport new large circular camera module?

As Xiaomi’s flagship product line, the Xiaomi 14 series has garnered praise from numerous users for its exquisite design, powerful hardware configuration, and outstanding photography experience. As a result, there is a great deal of anticipation among internet users for the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series, especially the standard model. Recently, CNMO learned that according to digital blogger “Smart Pikachu,” the Xiaomi 15 will debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform and will undergo adjustments in its rear camera module design.

It is expected that the Xiaomi 15 will continue to maintain a compact body design of around 6.36 inches. Additionally, it will be equipped with the new Pangolin OS 2.0 system, which has been comprehensively optimized based on its predecessor. Furthermore, the new device will feature the latest generation Leica imaging technology. Rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi 15 is testing domestically-produced single-point ultrasonic fingerprint technology. If successfully implemented, this technology will provide users with a faster and more accurate unlocking experience, even when hands are wet.

As a comparison, the Xiaomi 14 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform, with a 6.36-inch 1.5K straight screen supporting a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The screen material is C8, with a peak brightness of 3000nit, and full-range DC eye protection dimming. It features a rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel Leica Ultra Dynamic OIS main camera, a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel 3.2X upright telephoto macro OIS lens. It has a built-in 4610mAh battery, supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, and is IP68 dust and water-resistant.
