Feb Android Power Rankings: Dimensity 9300 Tops; OPPO Leads With MediaTek

Android Smartphone Performance Rankings for February

In February, not many new phones were released, so the Android smartphone performance rankings announced by AnTuTu didn’t show significant differences compared to the previous month. Looking at the core processors, the list of flagship phone performances is still dominated by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3. It’s noteworthy that MediaTek, not Qualcomm, holds the top spot.

In January’s flagship Android performance rankings, the OPPO Find X7 with the Dimensity 9300 processor claimed the top spot. At that time, the difference in average scores between this model and the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 models in second and third place was minimal, just over 3000 points. However, in the latest February flagship performance rankings, the OPPO Find X7 widened its lead over the second-place model by 30,000 points.

Although MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 processor itself is positioned as a high-end flagship chip, there are other reasons why the OPPO Find X7 can maintain the top position on the list. This is mainly due to the tidal architecture paired with the Dimensity 9300. It efficiently schedules performance resources, maintains a stable high frame rate and high image quality output. This architecture has a certain auxiliary effect on response speed in app applications and is a technology that was left by the chip team at OPPO that was disbanded.

For some reason, the iQOO 12 Pro, which was in second place last time, has now dropped to eighth place, replaced by the ROG 8 Pro. Additionally, the iQOO 12 has advanced to the third position. Both models feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, but the ROG 8 Pro, targeting the gaming smartphone market with its matrix liquid cooling solution 8.0, seems to have the upper hand. Its average score advantage over the iQOO 12 has widened to over 30,000 points.

In the mid-range flagship smartphone market, as no manufacturer has yet released new models, the Android mid-range flagship performance rankings for February remain unchanged. The Redmi K70E, equipped with the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, continues to hold the top spot on the list.
