iQOO Teases Upcoming Launch of iQOO Z9 with High Refresh Rate Display

iQOO is gearing up to unveil its new smartphone model – the iQOO Z9. Prior to its official release, a new official teaser has confirmed some display specifications, including a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits.


Based on the official teaser, the iQOO Z9 will feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, this panel can achieve a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, a 1200Hz touch sampling rate, and supports motion control. According to recent leaks, the iQOO Z9 will have a centered hole-punch display.


Foreign media reports suggest that the iQOO Z9 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC, which could make it one of the fastest phones in its segment. With this chip, the iQOO Z9 scored over 730,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform. As for specific RAM and storage specifications, there is not much information available yet, but leaks suggest that the device will support virtual RAM. In terms of battery life, the iQOO Z9 may feature a built-in 5000mAh battery, although fast charging details remain unknown.


In terms of photography, the iQOO Z9 is rumored to come with a 50MP main camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor, with support for OIS (optical image stabilization). Other details include dual stereo speakers, a slim design of 7.89mm, and two color options (Brushed Green and Graphene Blue).
