iQOO Neo9 Series: New Model with Snapdragon 8s Gen3, 1.5K Screen in April


It is widely known that the standard and Pro versions of the iQOO Neo9 series, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processors, have long been released. Interestingly, while various models from the Blue Factory are being leaked one after another, a new model from this series has surfaced. According to the latest leaks, this new device is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen3+1.5K resolution OLED straight screen and is expected to be launched in April.

Recently, digital blogger @数码闲聊站 revealed that the new iQOO Z9 series device will come with a 1.5K resolution OLED straight screen and will be powered by the Snapdragon 7Gen3 processor. On the other hand, the upcoming model of the iQOO Neo9 series is expected to sport a 1.5K resolution OLED straight screen and run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor, along with a mid-range large battery to support long battery life. Additionally, the blogger disclosed that these new models are likely to be launched in April, entering the competition in the mid-range segment. The blogger further revealed that this new processor is intended to replace the Snapdragon 8Gen2 processor.

iQOO Neo9 Series New Model

According to previous leaks, the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor with the codename SM8635 is a 5G processor with flagship-level performance. It is reported that this processor adopts the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8Gen3, built on TSMC’s 4nm process, positioning its overall performance between the Snapdragon 8Gen2 and 8Gen3, with an AnTuTu score of over 1.7 million points. Compared to the Snapdragon 8Gen3’s 3.3GHz CPU frequency, the CPU frequency of the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 is slightly lower, theoretically leading to “more power efficiency.”

iQOO Neo9 Series New Model

Looking back at the standard and Pro versions of the iQOO Neo9 series released in December last year, these models were equipped with the Snapdragon 8Gen2 and Dimensity 9300 processors, featuring a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution AMOLED screen. The screen adopts an 8T circuit design and supports 1~144Hz intelligent dynamic high refresh rate. In terms of imaging capabilities, the iQOO Neo9 Pro is equipped with the same IMX920 main camera as the vivo X100, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, the same imaging algorithm, and vivo’s latest flagship algorithm, supporting features like suspended motion capture. The iQOO Neo9 also features the IMX920 main camera but downgrades the ultra-wide-angle lens to 8 million pixels.
