New Honor Magic Laptop Set for Mar 18 Launch, RSR Hinted

Following the announcement of several new products at MWC 2024 and hints that these products would be released in China this month, Honor hinted at the design of the Honor Magic RSR Porsche Edition. Recent leaks also suggested information about the Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition. Honor recently made an official teaser announcement and revealed the design of the Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition for the first time, and it looks absolutely stunning.

Honor announced through a teaser poster, stating, “In the era of AI, lead the future. The Honor Magic6 series welcomes a new member. Meet us at the Honor Spring Flagship Launch on March 18th at 19:30 to explore the limitless possibilities of technology. The Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition, Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design, and Honor’s first AI PC, the Honor MagicBook Pro 16, will make their official debut!”

George Zhao, CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., also shared a teaser, adding, “As spring rejuvenates the earth, everything becomes new again. The Honor Magic6 series will welcome new members. The Honor Spring Flagship Launch will debut two heavyweight smartphone products for the first time: the Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition and the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design will break new ground in technological innovation and avant-garde design. The Honor MagicBook Pro 16, as Honor’s first AI PC, will showcase our exploration and practice in the AI field. See you in Beijing on March 18th!”

The Honor MagicBook Pro 16, Honor’s first AI PC, was officially launched at MWC 2024. Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and RTX 40 series independent graphics, it boasts a platform-level AI capabilities enabling a smart interconnected experience across devices, systems, and applications, further enhanced by OS Turbo for improved battery life.

The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 features a 16-inch 3K ultra-clear eye-protection screen with a resolution of 3072*1920, supporting a 165Hz refresh rate for esports and 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut. It’s the world’s first Windows laptop to support spatial audio, offering an immersive sound experience. The OS Turbo technology significantly optimizes the system for a 58% longer battery life, achieving over 12 hours of usage from its 75Wh battery, far surpassing traditional laptops.

Regarding the Honor Magic RSR Porsche Design, Honor shared a teaser video previously, stating, “Pioneering technology goes beyond. Honor and Porsche Design join hands again to explore more possibilities. #HonorMagic6# RSR, where design meets innovation. Stay tuned for March.” George Zhao also announced, “Following the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design, the #HonorMagic6# series will also launch the new Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design! Based on the hexagonal design elements and some of the design and specifications shown in the teaser videos, it’s clear that the device will feature a hexagonal camera module and hint at supporting 100X zoom. Moreover, digital bloggers have shared, based on the official teaser, that the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design will feature a part of its lens Deco design resembling a hexagon, with a 50Mp ultra-resolution main camera maintaining a f/1.4-f-2.0 ultra-wide physical variable aperture and supporting 100X digital zoom, alongside the Snapdragon 8G3+ dual satellite communication.

The Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition was also officially announced. Honor shared a teaser poster for the device, stating, “The #HonorMagic6# series welcomes a new member – the Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition. Today, we reveal just the tip of the iceberg. Moving beyond the conventional aesthetics with a pillow-shaped lens module, our designers have broken through traditional design logic with a more avant-garde attitude and innovative spirit to present a unique artistic masterpiece. Look forward to the Honor Spring Flagship Launch on March 18!”

George Zhao reposted this teaser, adding, “The design of the #HonorMagic6# series, from drawing inspiration from the beauty of China’s mountains and lakes to creating ultimate masterpieces with unique aesthetic language, we continue to explore the high-end artistry in our design style, hoping you will like it.” The poster’s focus is on the unique rounded rectangular shape of the camera module, which even resembles the “Porsche Design” logo.

Recently, design drafts of the Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition leaked online, igniting the passions of technology enthusiasts. Inspired by the most precious and pure elements in nature, diamonds, and pearls, the phone’s design is sleek and refined, reminiscent of meticulously crafted gemstones, shining brilliantly from every angle. The addition of a black leather back panel elevates the overall texture to a new level, merging the luxury feel with a sense of futuristic technology.

As for the differences between the Magic6 Ultimate Edition and the rest of the Magic6 series, they are quite significant, especially in the appearance of the rear camera module, suggesting stronger imaging capabilities. Honor’s CEO George Zhao mentioned in an interview that the Magic series Ultimate Edition focuses on technological innovation, while the RSR Porsche Design emphasizes design innovation. This suggests that the Magic6 Ultimate Edition could lead in introducing innovative technologies to the smartphone market in the first half of the year. Additionally, the Magic6 Ultimate Edition and the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design share the same network access qualifications, meaning they have identical configurations but differ in their external designs.
