On March 14th at 23:00, Intel officially announced the full specifications and release information of the Intel Core 14th Gen processor, the i9-14900KS, with the key feature being that the i9-14900KS will now boost up to 6.2 GHz, making it the desktop processor with the highest default acceleration frequency. At the same time, the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE motherboard also pushed the i9-14900KS to 9117.75MHz, breaking four world records and reaching a new performance peak.

Alongside the official release of the i9-14900KS, ROG also announced that overclocking expert Elmor used the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE motherboard to overclock the i9-14900KS to a remarkable 9117.75MHz. Subsequently, Safedisk using the same configuration and settings broke three more world records, completing the PiFast test in 6.79 seconds, SuperPi 1M calculation in 3.768 seconds, and PYPrime 32B in 97.596 seconds. The previous record of overclocking the i9-14900KF to 9043.92MHz was also set by the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE motherboard, and this new overclocking achievement with the i9-14900KS establishes a new peak.
