According to the latest announcement from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Apple has applied for a new patent related to the interactive experience of the Magic Mouse. In their patent, Apple describes how they integrate haptic vibration technology inside the mouse to provide a richer user experience.

Specifically, Apple showcases sample images illustrating that the Magic Mouse can carry a built-in haptic component. This component can simulate the tactile sensations of different textured surfaces based on input from sensors on the bottom. Moreover, Apple also mentions their capability to preset specific textures in certain situations and even adjust them according to the environment, ensuring a unique tactile feedback for users in any scenario.

Simultaneously, Apple presents various foot pad solutions in the patent. By dynamically enabling these foot pads and adjusting friction, the company aims to offer users a more immersive tactile feedback experience.
