Huawei P70 Series: Latest Updates and Features
On March 28th, the Huawei P70 suddenly surged to the top of the trending searches. Many people hurriedly opened the Huawei Store to check if the Huawei P70 series had quietly been released. However, it seems that Huawei is keeping it low-key and hasn’t made any official announcements yet.
According to the latest news, rumors of the Huawei P70 series launch event scheduled for mid-April have been canceled due to venue issues. Huawei is likely to follow the strategy used for the Huawei Mate 60 series, directly adding the Huawei P70 series to the pre-sale program and then holding an official launch event at a later date.
In recent days, some people have been setting alarms to snatch up the new release at 10:08 in the morning. However, during the Mate 60 launch, the release actually took place at 12:08 noon. Therefore, people can also choose to wait until noon for the release (official announcements will be made in advance). Additionally, offline flagship stores will also begin pre-sales.
In terms of design, the Huawei P70 series’ most significant change lies in the rear camera design called Deco, which has transitioned from an oval shape in the previous generation to a rounded triangular shape. The large cup (Art) Deco now features changes in the bottom right corner, creating an irregular shape different from the standard version.
Moreover, the Deco of the Huawei P70 series has also increased significantly in size. It is reported that the Huawei P70/P70 Pro will feature the powerful OV50H sensor, while the P70 Art is expected to use the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor (Pro models will support variable apertures). With this 1-inch large sensor along with XMAGE tuning, the imaging results are highly anticipated. The use of a new Kirin chipset in the Huawei P70 series remains a suspenseful aspect.
On other fronts, the Huawei P70 features a 6.58-inch screen, while the Pro and Art models boast a 6.8-inch display. All models come with a 1.5K centered hole-punch eye protection screen. Additionally, they will support bidirectional satellite communication technology. With enhancements in imaging hardware, the Huawei P70 series is poised to achieve remarkable success.
Tech Review: Imaging has always been a strong point of the P series, and this time, the enhancements are likely to restore the Huawei P70 series to the top tier in terms of imaging capabilities. Besides imaging, we also look forward to Huawei’s new breakthroughs in battery life, communication technologies, and other areas.
