On April 7th, prominent journalist Mark Gurman revealed on social media that Apple’s new iPad Pro and iPad Air series are expected to be officially released in the second week of May.
Looking back at previous reports, as early as March 29th, Gurman had disclosed that Apple was actively preparing for the launch of the new iPad Pro and iPad Air series. At that time, he predicted that the release of these two new products would likely take place in early May. With suppliers increasing their production efforts and gearing up for mass production of the new products, this expectation gradually became clearer.
It is worth mentioning that recent information from suppliers in Taiwan, China, indicated that the mass production of the upcoming iPad camera lenses has been “repeatedly delayed.” The report ambiguously mentioned that the “production release” of the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models may take place in May. This vague statement might be intentionally ambiguous for the sake of confidentiality, or it could be due to unforeseen changes in certain parts of the supply chain.
Additionally, two new iPad models, A2898 and A2899, have recently appeared in the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards. These two models have sparked a lot of speculation, and it is currently unclear whether they correspond to the new iPad Air or iPad Pro. However, considering Apple’s product update cycle, it has been nearly 18 months since the last update to the iPad product line, indicating that it is indeed time for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models to be released.
