Recently, there have been leaks from digital bloggers suggesting that Huawei will unveil more than 11 new products at an event scheduled for this month. These products are said to span across various aspects of life, including smartphones, laptops, wearable devices, smart home gadgets, and even automobiles. Among them are the Huawei P70 series, new laptops, headphones, smartwatches, new cars, and smart screens. However, it was later rumored that the event has been suddenly canceled, leaving many fans disappointed. Nevertheless, recent reports citing insiders from the industry suggest that the Huawei P70 series might join the Vanguard Program and could go on sale at any moment from now. Furthermore, media reports indicate that some Huawei offline stores have already initiated pre-orders for the new series, offering various storage configurations to choose from.
Earlier, media reports stated that some Huawei authorized offline stores have begun offering pre-sale services for the Huawei P70 series smartphones, also known as “blind orders.” Allegedly, interested consumers can prepay a deposit at these stores to reserve Huawei P70 series phones with different storage configurations. It was mentioned that at a Huawei flagship store in Chaoyang District, Beijing, sales personnel have confirmed that although the specific release date is yet to be determined, they have started accepting blind orders from consumers interested in purchasing the Huawei P70 series.
According to the salesperson, to cater to different consumer needs, the stores offer various storage configurations of the Huawei P70 series models. However, detailed information regarding the new devices’ colors and specifications has not yet been obtained from Huawei’s official channels. Of course, all details regarding product features, specifications, and color options will be announced during Huawei’s official launch event. For customers who have completed the “blind orders,” the store promises to notify them via phone immediately once the Huawei P70 series is officially released.
Moreover, there are rumors suggesting that although Huawei seemingly canceled the new product launch event temporarily, the timing for the Huawei P70 series to meet consumers remains unchanged. It’s speculated that the new phones might follow the example of last year’s Huawei Mate 60 series, where regardless of holding a launch event or not, they could randomly go on sale as part of the “Vanguard Program.” Those interested in this phone are advised to pay close attention to notifications from Huawei’s official website and offline stores.
Based on the currently exposed information, the Huawei P70 series is expected to include at least three models: Standard, Pro, and Art versions. In terms of imaging, both the Standard and Pro versions are expected to feature the domestic HuaWei OV50H sensor as the main camera, supporting 50 million pixels with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size and a single pixel size of 1.2μm, providing an equivalent large pixel size of 2.4μm under the 4-in-1 pixel fusion technology. The Art version’s Deco is an irregular polygon, with the main camera sensor being a one-inch large Sony IMX989 sensor.
Regarding performance, according to recent leaks of alleged Geekbench scores of the Huawei P70 series, the P70 and P70 Pro are likely to be equipped with a Kirin 9000s processor composed of a total of 12 logical cores, with 4 at 1.53GHz, 6 at 2.15GHz, and 2 at 2.62GHz, or its high-frequency version. The P70 Art may be equipped with a Kirin processor featuring a total of 8 cores with a new design, including 4 at 2.02GHz, 3 at 2.75GHz, and 1 at 3.19GHz. However, all information regarding this new series is still at the rumor stage, and precise details will need to await official confirmation.
As for the display, it’s rumored that the Huawei P70 Standard version will feature a 6.58-inch OLED screen, while both the P70 Pro and Huawei P70 Art will come with a large 6.8-inch display. Based on the screen protectors released by this blogger, it seems that the Huawei P70 series adopts a slightly curved screen design with very narrow bezels, offering a comfortable visual experience. It’s speculated that the Huawei P70 series might be available on the official website at any time as part of the “Vanguard Program.” However, the final release date, specifications, and appearance of these models will depend on official announcements.
