iQOO Z9 Series Launch Event: Introducing the Turbo Edition
Earlier, iQOO officially announced that the iQOO Z9 series would debut this month, featuring the third-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform.
It is reported that the third-generation Snapdragon 8s adopts a 4nm process, inheriting the same new CPU architecture as the third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platform, including one super core with a frequency of 3.0GHz, four performance cores with frequencies up to 2.8GHz, and three efficiency cores with frequencies up to 2.0GHz.
Today, iQOO officially confirmed the launch date for the new device.
The official announcement indicates: iQOO Z9 Turbo, the first to be equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8s flagship chip! iQOO Z9 series, April 24th, 19:00!
The latest official teaser mentions that the iQOO Z9 Turbo is equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8s+ dedicated display chip Turbo, as well as the largest 6000mAh ultra-thin Blue Ocean battery ever, achieving a balance of performance, battery life, and feel.
Vivo’s vice president revealed: “The first batch of iQOO Z9 Turbo is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 flagship chip, allowing any large-scale mobile game or AI model system to run smoothly on the iQOO Z9 Turbo. The iQOO Z9 Turbo is also equipped with a specially designed dedicated display chip Turbo and a 6K VC cooling system, making it a unique presence in its class. Taking into account the leaks from the digital blogger @数码闲聊站, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will also support 80W fast charging, equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2800×1260, supporting a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and 2160Hz PWM dimming, optional DC dimming or high-frequency PWM dimming.
As a reference, the previous generation iQOO Z8 is equipped with a 6.64-inch 2388×1080 resolution 120Hz refresh rate LCD punch-hole straight screen, with a 240Hz gaming touch sampling rate, supporting global DC dimming; equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip, using 3K VC ice-cooled three-dimensional heat dissipation, with a total heat dissipation area of 25026mm²; front 16 million pixel camera, rear 64 million pixel ultra-clear OIS anti-shake main camera + 2 million pixel depth-of-field lens; built-in 5000mAh battery, supporting 120W fast charging, starting at 1699 yuan.

In addition to the new smartphones, there have also been recent leaks regarding iQOO’s tablet devices.
According to leaks from the same blogger, the iQOO Pad2 Pro with model number PA2473 has now been certified by Google. In terms of specifications, it will be equipped with a 13.1-inch screen, LCD material, 3096×2064 resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate.
At the same time, it will offer versions with 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM, with a built-in 11500mAh battery and support for 66W fast charging.
In terms of core specifications, the iQOO Pad2 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor.
It is reported that the Dimensity 9300 uses TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process, “full large core” CPU architecture, with CPU consisting of four Cortex-X4 large cores, with a maximum frequency of 3.25GHz, and four Cortex-A720 large cores with a frequency of 2.0GHz. At the same time, the Dimensity 9300 also uses a 12-core GPU Immortalis-G720 and is equipped with MediaTek’s second-generation hardware ray tracing engine.
