But what’s next for Redmi in the next decade? Tonight, at the official launch event, the answer was revealed: they invested an additional billion dollars for a new device!

This is no empty talk. At this event, Redmi showed remarkable sincerity by unveiling a range of new products, spanning smartphones, tablets, headphones, TVs, air conditioners, and more.

Among them, the inaugural product of the Turbo series, the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone, stole the spotlight. Its value proposition reached an unprecedented level, with a starting price of 1999 yuan, featuring the third-generation Snapdragon 8S chip right from the first release. The official statement was clear: an additional billion dollars was invested just to introduce this Snapdragon 8 series chip into the Redmi Turbo 3! This scene closely resembled the launch of the first generation of Xiaomi smartphones.

Simultaneously, the officials declared that Redmi’s new decade will evolve into high-end flagship territory. The smartphone lineup has also undergone some changes, comprising four major series:

Interestingly, this launch event marked the first smartphone launch after Wang Teng’s appointment as the General Manager of the Redmi brand. Lei Jun and Lu Weibing were also present, standing side by side, endorsing Wang Teng’s leadership, indicating the internal significance attached to it.

Starting with the most anticipated new smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 3 features an innovative design. It adopts a square-edged frame on the front, with equal-width borders on three sides, while the back employs a symmetrical four-curved design. The device features a direct screen design without plastic support, with a thickness of only 7.8mm and weighing just 179g.

While maintaining a slim profile, the new device also incorporates a diamond bone structure, certified by SGS for its five-star drop resistance. In terms of colors, the new device will offer three options: Ink Crystal, Green Blade, Ice Titanium, and a special Harry Potter edition, catering to the aesthetic preferences of the youth.

In terms of imaging, the Redmi Turbo 3 features a cyclone turbine assembly, a circular dual flash, a 20MP front camera with the mighty Omnivision OV20B sensor, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera (with OIS) + 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (Sony IMX355) on the back. According to the official statement, the Redmi Turbo 3 has achieved three unprecedented milestones: firstly, it’s the first time the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series platform has been used in a mid-range performance device; secondly, it’s remarkably thin and light for a performance device; and lastly, it offers an unparalleled balanced user experience in the mid-range performance category.

As for pricing, the new device brings a pleasant surprise. There are four storage configurations available: 12GB+256GB priced at 1999 yuan, 12GB+512GB priced at 2299 yuan, 16GB+512GB priced at 2499 yuan, and 16GB+1TGB priced at 2799 yuan. Sales will begin on April 15th.

The new device also offers a special Harry Potter edition, equipped with accessories like a stylus pen inspired by a “magic wand,” along with a 3D laser-etched badge on the back.

The 16GB+512GB version is priced at 2699 yuan and will be available for sale starting at 10 am on April 15th, while the custom phone case for the special edition will be sold at 99 yuan.

The second product introduced is the RedmiPad Pro, the first tablet with the “Pro” suffix from Redmi, showcasing a robust overall performance. ### Redmi Pad Pro: Elevating Tablet Experience

The new Redmi Pad Pro boasts significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Pad. In terms of appearance, the new model features a 12.1-inch 2.5K high-refresh-rate eye-care LCD screen, with a resolution of 2560*1600 and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Additionally, the device sports a premium, flagship-grade metal integrated body, ensuring outstanding texture and aesthetics. It has undergone over 30 reliability tests, so concerns about body bending or deformation are no longer an issue.

In terms of screen configuration, it achieves a brightness of 600 nits, with multiple adjustable refresh rates. It has received certifications such as the S++ certification for visual health friendliness from the China Quality Certification Center and triple Rheinland eye protection certifications. Moreover, this marks the debut of Xiaomi Qingshan eye protection technology in tablet products, making it fatigue-free for extended use, particularly beneficial for students studying for long hours.

In terms of software, the Redmi Pad Pro is the first Redmi tablet to come pre-installed with Xiaomi’s Surge OS, supporting cross-device intelligent connectivity. It enables flagship features such as wireless PC secondary screen, keyboard and mouse sharing, 5G network sharing, and cross-device camera.


Additionally, Xiaomi has introduced a complete set of smart accessories, including the Redmi’s first-ever inspiration stylus (with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and a minimum writing delay of 5ms) and the Redmi’s first keyboard-style dual-sided protective case, priced at 299 yuan each.

The prices for the Xiaomi S Mini LED series range from 2799 yuan for the 55-inch model to 5999 yuan for the 85-inch model.

Lastly, at the end of the event, the Mi Air Conditioner Fresh Air Pro was introduced, priced at 3399 yuan, and the Natural Wind Pro at 2799 yuan, offering significant energy savings at 2399 yuan.
