Huawei Pura 70 Series: Nearly 100% Locally Made, Combating Scalpers
In light of well-known constraints, Huawei’s endeavor to achieve large-scale and stable production of its smartphone products hinges on increasing the domestic production rate. According to CNMO, the newly unveiled Huawei Pura 70 series has achieved a domestic production rate close to 100%.
Recently, a digital influencer revealed that the domestic production rate of this generation of devices is indeed nearing 100%. Considering information from sources like “菊厂” (Jūchǎng), it’s apparent that this “generation of devices” refers to the Huawei Pura 70 series. If the news holds true, then Huawei’s Pura 70 series will encounter almost no production bottlenecks, and its subsequent product development will proceed more smoothly.
Furthermore, the influencer stated that Huawei is vigorously cracking down on scalpers. “This time, Jūchǎng is really cracking down on scalpers fiercely. Some stores require activation before selling. After the Mate60 series was released last time, fans were all cursing the scalpers; this time, there’s no criticism against controlling inventory.” In the comments section, the influencer further disclosed that regardless of Huawei store regulations, consumers are required to bind their Huawei accounts during activation, and they are not allowed to deactivate or change accounts within six months. Additionally, some Huawei stores emphasize to consumers that they “must use it themselves and cannot resell on second-hand platforms.”
Observations by CNMO indicate that the supply situation of the Huawei Pura 70 series is significantly better than that of last year’s Mate60 series. The scenario of “difficult to obtain” is unlikely to persist for too long. Previously, the analytical firm TechInsights predicted that with an earlier release window and alleviated supply constraints, the Pura 70 series is expected to ship over 10 million units in 2024, becoming one of the main competitors to Apple’s iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series.
