iQOO Z9 Series Set to Release on April 24th
The official announcement from iQOO Phone confirms that the iQOO Z9 series will be officially launched on April 24th at 7:00 p.m.
As the release date approaches, more information about the new phones has been gradually revealed by the official sources.
According to today’s teaser by the official account, the entire iQOO Z9 series will support IP64 dust and water resistance, with a promised durability of 48 months to keep the devices “like new” for a long time.
Furthermore, the previous teasers have indicated that both iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9 Turbo will feature a flagship-grade C8 eye-protection screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 4500nit.
Additionally, both iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9 Turbo will come with a comprehensive screen dimming system and three modes to choose from: low brightness 2160Hz PWM + high brightness DC dimming, low brightness 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and full-brightness DC dimming.
In terms of performance, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will be powered by the third-generation Snapdragon 8s processor, achieving an Antutu score of over 176W. It will also feature a dedicated Turbo GPU chip for gaming with high frame rates, video playback, and a pure image mode.
For efficient heat dissipation, both iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9 Turbo will be equipped with a 6K Tianmu VC liquid cooling system.
In terms of photography capabilities, iQOO Z9 Turbo will support multiple flagship-grade imaging algorithms, while iQOO Z9 will feature features like motion capture and 2X portrait mode.
Both iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9 Turbo will house the largest-ever “Blue Sea” batteries, with a slim body measuring 7.98mm, claiming to be the “thinnest 6000mAh phone”.
In addition, all models of iQOO Z9 series will support XiaoV voice assistant, enabling features like live text generation through voice commands.
Furthermore, recent leaks online have revealed key specifications of the devices in this series.
The iQOO Z9 series will consist of three models: iQOO Z9x, iQOO Z9, and iQOO Z9 Turbo.
iQOO Z9x will feature a 6.72-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, running on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, a 6000mAh battery with 40W fast charging, 8MP front camera, 50MP main camera, and 2MP portrait lens, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, and weighs 199g.
iQOO Z9 will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 16MP front camera, 50MP main camera, and 2MP portrait lens, under-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, NFC, weighing 195g.
iQOO Z9 Turbo will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 16MP front camera, 50MP main camera, and 8MP wide-angle lens, under-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, NFC, weighing 195g.

According to the official introduction, the iQOO magnetic absorption cooling back clip boasts a super-thin design of 19.9mm and weight of 69g, offering efficient cooling to ensure prolonged gaming sessions without discomfort. It provides flagship-level cooling of up to -7°C, reducing temperatures by up to 32°C for a smooth and uninterrupted gaming experience.
