iPhone 17 Pro Steps Up with 12GB RAM!

Tech Express, May 7th: Analyst Jeff Pu revealed that the iPhone 17 series will offer four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The most significant change among the four models is the absence of the Plus version, replaced by the Slim.

Furthermore, there will be a significant upgrade in memory for the iPhone 17 Pro series. Both the Pro and Pro Max versions will come with 12GB of RAM as standard, significantly enhancing the iPhone’s multitasking capabilities.

Currently, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with 6GB of RAM as standard, while the iPhone 15 Pro series has 8GB of RAM. The upcoming iPhone 16 series, set to debut in the second half of this year, will have a unified standard of 8GB of RAM.

In contrast, in the Android camp, some manufacturers have already expanded smartphone memory to 24GB, with most new devices starting at 12GB. Except for some budget-friendly models that still use 8GB of RAM, it’s almost “extinct.”

With the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max increasing their memory to 12GB, they are keeping pace with Android. However, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim will still have 8GB of RAM.
