Apple Set to Release New iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air Models in March

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is likely to unveil new iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air models at the end of March. In today’s Power On newsletter, he mentioned that production for the new iPad Pro models and the new 13-inch MacBook Air is progressing smoothly.

The upcoming iPad Air series is expected to introduce a new 12.9-inch size in addition to the updated 10.9-inch model. Anticipated features for the next-generation iPad Air include Apple’s M2 chip for faster performance, a redesigned rear camera, Wi-Fi 6E support, and Bluetooth 5.3. The external design is not expected to undergo significant changes.

It is widely anticipated that the next generation of 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models will be the first to feature OLED display screens, which may result in a higher price point. Other expected features for the next iPad Pro include Apple’s latest M3 chip for improved performance, MagSafe wireless charging, a redesigned Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad, and potential changes to the rear camera design similar to the upcoming iPad Air models.

Despite a year-long gap in the release of the current 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models due to production delays, both models are expected to be updated simultaneously in March. The new feature will be Apple’s latest M3 chip.

With the M3 chip, the next-generation MacBook Air models will benefit from hardware-accelerated ray tracing and grid shading to improve graphical rendering in games, including more accurate lighting, reflections, and shadows.

The design of the MacBook Air is expected to remain largely unchanged this year, but the laptop may potentially support Wi-Fi 6E like other Mac computers.
