Apple Sells Over 200,000 Units of Vision Pro Headset

According to reports, Apple has sold over 200,000 units of the Vision Pro headset. Apple began accepting pre-orders for the Vision Pro on January 19, and it has been on sale in the United States for 10 days.

On the evening of January 22, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple had sold 160,000 to 180,000 units of the Vision Pro headset during the first pre-order weekend. Since then, sales may have slowed down.

The Vision Pro headset, which offered doorstep delivery on the launch day, sold out within hours of pre-orders opening, and delivery times for all models were delayed by five to seven weeks. After the initial rush to purchase, interest in the headset began to wane.

In the United States, media reviews of the Vision Pro will be released on Tuesday, which could drive further sales. Additionally, as actual consumers start sharing their experiences, the purchase volume may increase. Prior to this, analysis firm Canalys predicted that the Apple Vision Pro would remain out of stock for at least 12 months after its release.

However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo cautioned that demand for the device may rapidly decrease due to its niche market and the high price of $3,500 (approximately RMB 25,000), which is beyond the budget of many consumers. There are rumors that due to the high price and production challenges of the Vision Pro, Apple is prepared for limited sales.

Apple is expected to produce around 500,000 units of the Vision Pro headset, but whether they can sell that many remains to be seen.

However, as the initial batch of products was only launched in the U.S. market, the demand for Vision Pro has also surged in China. On Chinese e-commerce platforms, the Vision Pro is priced between 38,999 yuan and 89,999 yuan. Some buyers estimate that the Vision Pro may be speculated to sell for between 80,000 and 100,000 yuan.
