Xiaomi 15 Series: Launching Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro in October
The Xiaomi 15 series consists of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro models, expected to be released around October.
The Xiaomi 15 features a flat screen design, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro comes with a curved screen design.
Currently undergoing testing, the Xiaomi 15 series is equipped with a domestically produced single-point ultrasonic fingerprint solution. Progress has been accelerated, and there are hopes for an early debut in October or even sooner.
The Xiaomi 15 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform. This chip utilizes TSMC’s second generation 3nm process technology, making the Xiaomi 15 series the first from Xiaomi to feature a 3nm chip.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen4 features Qualcomm’s self-developed Nuvia architecture, consisting of 2 Nuvia Phoenix performance cores and 6 Nuvia Phoenix M cores, forming a new dual-cluster eight-core CPU architecture. The large core power consumption of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is about 5.4W, with a single-core performance increase of around 20% and Adreno 830 performance improvement of about 10%.
The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch Samsung flat screen with a resolution of 2760 * 1200, supporting a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The screen can define refresh rates by zones, saving 15-20% in IC power consumption. It is also equipped with a 50-megapixel Leica main camera, a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel Leica 75mm floating telephoto camera.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is testing satellite communication technology, which allows for establishing contact with the outside world via satellites in extreme scenarios without ground networks.
