Upgrading Devices to HarmonyOS 4.0 – A Game Changer
Since the official update of HarmonyOS, the noticeable improvement in device performance has been evident to all. Particularly with the advent of the HarmonyOS 4 era, there has been a significant enhancement in compatibility and smoothness for updated devices. Recently, the official announcement came regarding the release of HarmonyOS 4 for 20 devices, including smartphones and smartwatches under both the Huawei and Honor brands. Huawei’s official account, “My Huawei,” recently revealed the latest progress on the HarmonyOS 4 system upgrade. According to the information released, as of now, a total of 20 devices are set to receive the official HarmonyOS 4 upgrade. This includes 8 Huawei models such as the HUAWEI P30 series, HUAWEI Mate 20 series, HUAWEI Mate 20 X series, and 4 Honor models including the Honor 20 series, Honor V20, and Honor Magic2.
In addition, the Huawei WATCH Ultimate and Huawei WATCH Ultimate Design will start receiving the HarmonyOS 4 official version update in the middle to late March. The performance of HarmonyOS 4’s official version has been quite stable. Devices that have been updated are showing good performance in terms of smoothness and stability. Especially for some older devices, upgrading to HarmonyOS 4 has essentially rejuvenated them. Therefore, it is recommended for devices eligible for the HarmonyOS 4 update to proceed with the upgrade, as it is indeed worth it.
Public information indicates that by last October, the number of devices upgraded to HarmonyOS 4 had exceeded 100 million, making it the fastest-upgraded version of HarmonyOS in history.
