On May 6th, vivo officially announced that it will hold a product launch event on May 13th at 7:00 PM, unveiling its new imaging strategy and the latest additions to the X series of smartphones. Industry analysts predict that this launch event will mark a significant milestone for vivo in the field of imaging technology.
It is reported that vivo will unveil several new models at this event, including the highly anticipated vivo X100s, vivo X100s Pro, and the flagship model vivo X100 Ultra. Of particular interest is the expectation that the vivo X100 Ultra will be the first to feature vivo’s in-house developed BlueImage imaging technology. This introduction is poised to position vivo as another smartphone manufacturer with proprietary imaging technology, following in the footsteps of Huawei.
vivo’s senior executive, Jia Jingdong, previously revealed that the BlueImage technology will complement vivo’s BlueCrystal chip stack, BlueCore large model, BlueOcean endurance system, BlueRiver operating system, and other technologies, collectively forming vivo’s BlueTech matrix, thereby enhancing vivo’s competitiveness in the market.
Regarding technical specifications, leaked information suggests that the vivo X100 Ultra will feature the Sony LYT900 main camera, equipped with a 1-inch large CMOS sensor and a high resolution of 50 million pixels. Each pixel will measure 1.6μm, promising outstanding imaging results. Additionally, the device will be equipped with a periscope-style super telephoto lens with a resolution of 200 million pixels, paired with a Zeiss APO telephoto lens, enabling 4.3x optical zoom and up to 200x digital zoom, as well as a 50 million pixel ultra-wide-angle lens, offering users a broader shooting perspective.
In terms of hardware configuration, the vivo X100 Ultra is rumored to be powered by the third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor, featuring a high-performance Samsung 2K E7 punch-hole AMOLED curved screen, and a BlueOcean large-capacity battery exceeding 5000mAh, delivering strong performance and long-lasting battery life.
