iPhone 16 Pro Leak: Bigger Screens Expected

According to tech media outlet MacRumors, Apple is designing several prototype models for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Firstly, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to feature larger screen sizes. The screen size of the iPhone 16 Pro is set to be increased from the current 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will reportedly go from a 6.7-inch display to 6.9 inches. This change is likely aimed at providing a more expansive display area to enhance the user experience.

With regard to the physical buttons, the iPhone 15 Pro series eliminated the traditional mute switch in favor of a new button operation. This modification is poised to continue with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Moreover, Apple has reportedly experimented with larger-sized and various button designs, although the current design documents suggest that the dimensions of the action button will remain the same as those on the existing iPhone 15 Pro.

It is important to mention that Apple may also introduce a new photography button on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Known internally as “Nova,” this shooting button is expected to use a capacitive touch interface combined with force sensor capabilities, designed for capturing video. Situated below the power button, this button would be flush with the iPhone’s frame, without protruding.

When it comes to materials and color options, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will continue to utilize the same Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) as the iPhone 15 Pro, and the overall appearance is unlikely to see significant changes. However, Apple may retain the color choices of the iPhone 15 Pro and is also planning to introduce an additional color option, although details on this new color choice are not yet available.

In summary, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are anticipated to bring forth new advancements and improvements in terms of screen size, button operations, a new photography button, as well as material and color options. These updates are expected to further enhance user experience and solidify Apple’s position in the premium smartphone market.
