On January 11, 2024, Honor officially launched its new flagship smartphone series, the Honor Magic6, which includes the Honor Magic6 and the Honor Magic6 Pro. As a culmination of innovation, this series brings consumers a swath of exciting features, including the newly reimagined Honor Hongyan satellite communication solution, the upgraded second-generation Qinghai Lake battery technology, ultra-durable Honor Giant Rhinoceros Glass, the professional-grade Honor Eagle Eye Camera, the continuously leading Honor Oasis Eye Care Technology, and the revolutionary Magic OS operating system.

Direct Satellite Communication for Enhanced Connectivity

Communication has always been one of Honor’s strengths. The Honor Magic6 series comes equipped with the newly-upgraded proprietary HONOR C1+ RF enhancement chip, achieving a breakthrough in antenna performance. The chip enables up to a 41% increase in antenna transmission gain and a 51% increase in reception gain. This ensures rapid reconnection even in areas with weak signals such as basements, and maintains smooth video streaming on subways overcoming frequent signal tower switches.

The Honor Magic6 Pro boasts a new and improved direct satellite communication technology. The satellite chip’s overall area has been reduced by approximately 40%, supporting real-time voice and two-way texting with the industry’s fastest satellite connection speeds yet. It reduces the power consumption for satellite timing and calls, enhancing both the signal quality and battery life. In scenarios where battery life drops to a critical 5%, the Honor Magic6 Pro can still support 8 minutes of real-time voice communication or send 16 two-way texts, providing users with a sense of security.

Enhanced Eye-Protection with the New Honor Oasis Screen and Ultra-Resilient Giant Rhinoceros Glass

The Honor Magic6 series introduces a new screen focusing technology, achieving an industry-leading peak brightness of 5000 nits. It displays excellent dark and bright contrast and details in HDR videos, making screen content clearer even under bright outdoor light. The series supports both Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid for authoritative display quality. Furthermore, for the first time, the series implements low-power LTPO display technology, allowing refresh rates as low as 1Hz at any brightness level to save power without compromising on smoothness.

As a leader in eye-care technology, the Honor Magic6 series supports five advanced Oasis eye-care technologies: 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, natural light eye-care, sleep-friendly display, hardware-level low blue light, and natural color display. The series has passed the German Rheinland TÜV Global Eye Care 3.0 certification and the China National Institute of Standardization VICO A+ visual comfort test.

All models in the Honor Magic6 series are equipped with Honor Giant Rhinoceros Glass, pushing the limits of glass durability. An optimized material formula increases crystal density by 50%, and it has been certified for drop resistance in various scenarios by the Swiss SGS, offering durability even on harsh surfaces like marble, asphalt, and gravel.

Leading Battery Performance with the Second-Generation Qinghai Lake Battery for All-Day Endurance

The Honor Magic6 series features the upgraded second-generation Qinghai Lake battery technology. Incorporated with the new proprietary HONOR E1 power enhancement chip and the Honor Dujiangyan power management system, the series achieves intelligent charging and discharging as well as enhanced low-temperature performance, providing users with all-day endurance across various scenarios.

Honor Magic6 Battery Tech

The second-generation Qinghai Lake battery technology, along with the HONOR E1 chip and Dujiangyan power management system, results in a 5450mAh battery capacity for the Honor Magic6, and an even higher capacity of 5600mAh for the Honor Magic6 Pro. This results in industry-leading battery life among flagship devices. Additionally, the comprehensive battery performance in low-temperature and low-charge conditions has been significantly enhanced, creating a breakthrough in low-temperature endurance technology and providing more opportunities for users to stay connected or manage emergencies in extreme conditions.

Moreover, the Honor Magic6 and Magic6 Pro support 66W and 80W wired SuperCharge, along with 50W and 66W wireless SuperCharge respectively. The Honor Magic6 series has also improved the freedom and range of wireless charging by 70%.
