iPhone 16 Pro Offers 2TB Option!

Exciting Features of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Unveiled

On January 20th, according to reports, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, set to be released in the second half of this year, will offer a maximum storage of 2TB, marking the largest storage capacity in Apple’s history.

Leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will depart from the conventional three-layer-cell (TLC) NAND flash and instead utilize higher-density four-layer-cell (QLC) NAND flash, enabling the massive 2TB storage space.

Compared to TLC, QLC has the advantage of being able to store four bits of data per storage cell, as opposed to three, resulting in QLC NAND flash storing more data with the same number of cells as TLC.

Of course, QLC is not flawless, as its drawback is relatively slower read and write speeds.

Furthermore, it’s been reported that the iPhone 16 Pro series will be capable of recording 3D spatial videos, a feature primarily designed to complement the use of Vision Pro.

Apple is currently focused on continually enhancing augmented reality and virtual reality technologies. The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series will strengthen the synergy with the Vision Pro headset, enabling seamless cross-screen collaboration.
