Satellite Communication Features to Accelerate Popularity in 2024

Satellite functionality is set to become more common in 2024, with the Huawei Mate 60 series and the Honor Magic6 series already equipped with this feature. Additionally, the satellite version of the OPPO Find X7 Ultra is expected to debut this spring. According to the latest leaks, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may also incorporate satellite communication. The new model is slated for release in March, with the preheating phase likely to commence around the time of the Chinese New Year.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is rumored to come with integrated satellite communication across all variants, utilizing compact chips for two-way satellite communication to establish connections when terrestrial networks are unavailable.

Moreover, maintaining its focus on imaging, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is speculated to feature a 50-megapixel quad-camera system, including a Sony LYT900 primary sensor, a 3.2x periscope telephoto lens, a 5x periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens.

The primary camera will retain support for adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.6 to f/4.0, ensuring superior light intake. Additionally, the telephoto lenses will feature optical image stabilization (OIS).

In other aspects, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will sport a fully curved micro-curved screen with a 2K resolution, support ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, abandon the waterfall design on the back cover, be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform, and pack a 5180mAh battery. Overall, with a balanced performance profile, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to be a flagship model worth considering in 2024.
