According to a reliable source, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is currently undergoing testing for satellite communication technology and is expected to support satellite communication when it is launched at the end of the year. The new device will also be equipped with the latest generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4. The performance of this chip in tests is 10% higher than that of the Apple M2 chip, making it the most powerful chip within the Android camp.
Following the initial introduction of satellite communication capability in the Huawei Mate 50, Honor Magic 6, OPPO Find X7, and other series have successively introduced this feature. This functionality is gradually becoming popular among domestic Android brands. According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will also feature this capability and is currently undergoing testing.
Additionally, the new device is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4. This chip will differ significantly from the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 as it will no longer use the original Arm public CPU architecture, but will instead switch to NUVIA cores. It is reported that this chip achieved a 10% higher score than the Apple M2 chip in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test, making it the most powerful chip in current Android devices.
