Honor Unveils Magic6 RSR Porsche Edition Set to Launch Next Month
Recently, on the eve of the opening of MWC2024, Honor held a significant launch event overseas where they officially introduced the Magic6 series, the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design, MagicOS 8.0, AIPC Honor MagicBook Pro 16, and other new products. Towards the end of the event, they also teased the upcoming release of the Honor Magic RSR Porsche Design. Additionally, the CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. – @George Zhao Ming, announced that the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design would make its debut in March. Furthermore, @HonorMobile released a teaser video for the device, hinting that the rear camera module of the phone would feature a hexagonal lens design.
@HonorMobile also shared a teaser video for the Honor Magic RSR Porsche Design, captioning it with, “Pioneering technology, more than just this. Honor and Porsche Design join forces again to explore more possibilities. #HonorMagic6#RSR, meet pioneering design, coming in March.” @George Zhao Ming also confirmed, “Following the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design, the #HonorMagic6# series will also introduce the all-new Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design! Based on the hexagonal design elements seen in the teaser video and some details of the phone’s appearance and specifications, it is highly likely that the rear camera module of the device will indeed feature a hexagonal lens setup. Furthermore, digital blogger @DigitalChats not only shared screenshots from the official video but also revealed, “Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design, the lens Deco design partially uncovered, resembling a hexagon. The 50MP ultra-large main camera remains with an f/1.4-f/2.0 ultra-large physical variable aperture, a billion-pixel large main camera periscope lens supporting 100X digital zoom, Snapdragon 8G3+ bi-directional satellite communication.”
Regarding the information leaked earlier, imaging capabilities seem to be a significant highlight of the device. It will debut the domestic Haowei OV50K sensor, the first one-inch domestic large primary camera, and will also feature variable aperture technology to enhance light intake, comparable to the Sony LYT900 sensor. Coupled with Honor’s strong photography algorithms, it is expected to excel in aspects like color representation and focusing speed, promising higher definition and finer image quality. Reports suggest that the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design is the first satellite communication image flagship with Porsche Design.
In terms of storage, rumors indicate that the device will come with a 16GB+1TB large storage combo. For battery life, it will have a built-in 5600mAh battery, supporting 80W fast charging and 66W wireless charging technology, along with an alleged inclusion of a 100W wired charging head by the manufacturer. On the software front, the device will come pre-installed with MagicOS 8.0, which will enhance the hardware performance and applications, further emphasizing the Porsche Design version’s impression. Accessories-wise, full-function NFC, infrared remote control, dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, and IP68 dust and water resistance are expected.
As a Porsche Design edition, apart from the comprehensive “bucket” level hardware and software configurations in terms of performance, imaging, etc., its appearance is also a major selling point. Based on the teaser videos released by the company recently, the device is likely to come in a blueberry pink color scheme. According to the latest render of the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design, apart from the hexagonal rear camera module design, unique Porsche Design streamlined elements will be incorporated. The symmetrical raised lines on both sides, a runway texture running through the middle of the back of the device, perfectly blend speed and power, presenting an extraordinary aesthetic.
