On March 5th, according to reports from foreign media, an increasing number of users are expressing dissatisfaction with the usability of Windows 11, echoing similar sentiments to those previously voiced by Musk.
Users have raised concerns that during the installation of the Windows 11 preview version, Microsoft requires input of a Microsoft account and prompts to “update your device or browser” during the Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE).
If you are without an internet connection and do not have a Microsoft account, you will simply be unable to smoothly install the Windows 11 system.
Musk had publicly criticized Microsoft on social media before, stating that the Windows 11 experience is really poor, especially when it comes to installation, requiring a Microsoft Account (MSA) to operate.
Musk mentioned that he purchased a new laptop and was surprised to find out that he couldn’t use Windows 11 without an MSA (Microsoft Account).
Currently, there are two ways to bypass this restriction:
During the OOBE, press shift + f10, then type “oobe\bypassnro” (without quotes) and press Enter. The computer will restart, allowing you to continue without the need to connect to the internet or add an account.
Another method is to directly input “test” as the account, which Microsoft will not recognize. This will fall back to creating a local account, effectively enabling you to install Windows 11 without an internet connection.
