Technology News from CNMO

On March 18, renowned leaker Mark Gurman revealed the latest updates on Apple products. According to him, Apple’s major suppliers GoerTek and Luxshare Precision will begin production of two new models of the fourth-generation AirPods in May this year. Gurman predicts that the new AirPods are expected to be officially launched between September and October.

The leaks suggest that Apple plans to produce between 20 to 25 million units of the new AirPods, marking a new high in Apple’s headphone production.

New AirPods

It is understood that the new AirPods will feature a completely new design with improved fitting, offering a more comfortable wearing experience. Additionally, they will come with a USB-C charging case, providing users with greater convenience. It’s worth noting that the new AirPods will be divided into two versions with the codenames B768(E) and B768(M). E stands for “entry-level” while M stands for “mid-range”. While both versions will have new designs and improved fittings, the mid-range version will include active noise cancellation and spatial audio features.

Furthermore, Gurman also disclosed that Apple is working on an updated version of the AirPods Pro, expected to be launched as early as next year.

Even more exciting is Apple’s secret development of a completely new headphone model, equipped with a low-resolution camera, offering possibilities for future use cases. However, detailed information about this new headphone is currently limited.
