Foldable Phones from Honor and Xiaomi to Hit the Market Soon

The world of compact foldable phones is soon to witness the entrance of two new players: Honor and Xiaomi.

Honor’s CEO, Zhao Ming, recently revealed to the media about the upcoming Honor Flip foldable phone.

“We will launch a Flip foldable product in 2024. Our approach to creating foldable products will be based on Honor’s consistent values and product philosophy, aiming to deliver a unique product experience to the industry,” stated Zhao Ming during the interview.

During the interview, Zhao Ming emphasized, “Today, Honor’s foldable phones are the thinnest and lightest in the industry, providing a similar experience to traditional smartphones. When it comes to making small foldable screens, we are also starting from this standpoint, intending to offer consumers a distinctive product experience.”

From Zhao Ming’s confident statements, it is evident that Honor is well-prepared for this launch, standing on the edge of revealing their creation.

The Xiaomi MIX Flip is currently undergoing testing and is expected to be officially released as early as May. The MIX Flip will mark Xiaomi’s first entry into the world of compact foldable or clamshell foldable screen products, featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 flagship platform.

The Xiaomi MIX Flip offers a telephoto lens and a large battery solution. Xiaomi’s vertically folding small phone utilizes a domestically produced screen, promising “zero-fold creases,” a compact dual-camera module, and a secondary screen design, featuring a 50MP main camera with a vertical telephoto lens.
