It indicates that the battery capacities of the iPhone 16 models, except for the iPhone 16 Plus, might see an increase.

A leaker shared detailed information about the batteries of the iPhone 16 models, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

According to the leaker, the iPhone 16 is expected to come with a 3561mAh battery, while the Plus version might feature a 4006mAh battery. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro is anticipated to be equipped with a 3355mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max could sport a 4676mAh battery.

For reference, although this tech giant typically doesn’t disclose exact battery capacities, teardown videos have shown that the battery capacities of the iPhone 15 models range from 3367mAh to 4422mAh.

Leaked information indicates that compared to the previous generation, the battery size of the iPhone 16 has increased by 5.8%, while the iPhone 16 Pro has seen a 2% increase in battery size. If the rumored 4676mAh battery of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is accurate, it would be 5.7% larger than the 4422mAh battery of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

However, the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 Plus stands at 4006mAh, which is 8.6% smaller than the 4383mAh battery of the iPhone 15 Plus.

It’s worth noting that last year’s iPhone 15 models featured rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, with non-Pro models offering up to 26 hours of video playback on a single charge and Pro models reaching up to 29 hours.

In other aspects, recent leaks of model images of the iPhone 16 series suggest that the new iPhones might feature an action button, a feature currently available only on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Another new feature could be the “capture” button possibly located on the right side of the phone, which would support zooming in and out gestures. Additionally, it’s expected that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be slightly larger than the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, with an increase in screen size.
