Apple to Introduce AI Features Including Chatbots for iPhone in the Second Half of This Year
According to media reports on April 14th, Apple plans to introduce a series of AI features for the iPhone in the second half of this year in order to boost sales of the iPhone.
It is understood that Apple plans to adopt Google’s Gemini in the new iOS to provide chatbots, while Apple will also introduce its own AI engine, primarily for behind-the-scenes tasks.
According to the latest data from market research firms, Apple sold a total of 17.41 million iPhones in February this year, accounting for 18% of the global smartphone shipments.
This sales figure is lower than Samsung Electronics’ 19.69 million units, so Apple seems to be hoping to regain its lead over Samsung through AI.
Earlier, Apple’s marketing chief, Joswiak, stated that Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year will be “absolutely incredible,” hinting at significant AI-related announcements.
