China Develops World’s Largest 100-Ton Thrust Electric Shaker System

On April 16, IT House reported that the China Machinery Industry Federation held a technology achievement appraisal meeting on April 15, announcing the successful development of a domestically produced 100-ton super-thrust electric vibration test system.

The appraisal committee, composed of seven industry authoritative experts led by academicians Hu Haiyan and Zhai Wanming from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, unanimously agreed that the ES-1000 (100 tons) electric vibration test system has passed metrological verification. It is the largest single thrust electric vibration test equipment independently developed by China, with complete independent intellectual property rights.

Zhai Wanming, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chairman of the Chinese Vibration Engineering Society, stated, “The 100-ton thrust vibration table is the first in China and the largest in the world. This vibration equipment is applicable in China’s aerospace, shipping, and rail transit fields, all of which require vibration testing for assessment and durability evaluation of products.”

According to IT House, vibration test systems can simulate the operating environment of equipment such as rockets, satellites, and aircraft during operation, thereby detecting the reliability of equipment structure and performance. They are essential supporting devices for the development of aerospace, transportation, and other industries. The successful development of the 100-ton electric vibration test system this time is another “world’s first” achieved by Dongling Company after it developed the world’s largest 35-ton thrust vibration table in 2007 and launched the world’s largest 50-ton thrust vibration table in 2012.

With the development of China’s manned spaceflight, lunar exploration projects, and large-scale carrier projects, the quality and size of aerospace equipment continue to increase, and the structure is becoming increasingly complex. To meet the mechanical environment test requirements of these major components and even entire machines, the research and development of the 100-ton super-thrust electric vibration test system began in Suzhou in 2021. The research team solved many difficulties including system heat dissipation and cooling under high-power output conditions.
