After being renamed to Huawei Pura, it’s finally going to be launched.
Huawei’s P70 has been officially renamed as the Pura 70 series. When asked by users about the release date, Yu Chengdong mentioned that there will be good news in a couple of days.
The market speculates that the Huawei Pura 70 series may be officially launched on April 18.
Following the success of the Huawei Mate 60 series, the most anticipated product in the market right now is the Huawei Pura 70 series. Some distributors are already eager to get started, with some even beginning to make blind bookings.
This is set to be a completely new upgrade after the P60 series, bringing significant changes, especially in terms of design, making it easily recognizable. The distinct triangular main camera will become the new flagship design, instantly identifying it as the Huawei Pura 70.
Some distributors have indicated that they have already made stocking payments. This confidence allows them to take blind orders. It is reported that the release of the Pura series will follow the format of the “HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro Pioneer Program,” going directly on sale online.
Some distributors have stated, “We accept blind orders with a deposit of 100, and the delivery time is uncertain.” They also mentioned, “P70 will have 4 configurations, 70, pro, pro+, and ultra, with prices similar to the Mate 60 series, around 6k, 7k, 8k, with the ultra version similar to the RS, priced over 10,000.” However, there are speculations in the market that the highest-end model might be named Ultra, which could be clarified within a day or two.
Earlier reports indicated that all three models of the Huawei Pura series have been certified, with the standard version supporting Beidou satellite messaging, while the high-end version supports satellite messaging and calling functions.
Guo Mingxi, an analyst at TF International Securities, mentioned that the P70 series features a periscope telephoto lens, and the P70 Art wide-angle camera uses a 1G6P molded lens, with the unit price being 4-5 times that of the 7P due to its molded glass. He predicts a significant increase in sales for the Huawei P70 series (now renamed as the Pura 70 series).
Analysts at Counterpoint believe that in the price range above $800, Huawei is one of Apple’s main competitors.
Regarding the upcoming launch of the Huawei Pura, Li Xiaolong, the father of the Huawei Mate series and CTO of Huawei’s terminal BG, shared a Huawei Pura 70 teaser video, stating, “It’s about to arrive.”
Li Xiaolong’s late-night post sparked speculation among many netizens about the release date of the new device, with many already setting their alarms.
As the new flagship model of Huawei, it is predicted to be as sought after as the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, with high demand expected in the initial sales phase. Customers may need to queue to purchase it. In terms of performance, like the Mate 60 Pro, there will be a significant improvement. Especially in terms of photography capabilities, there will be notable enhancements.
