Samsung Galaxy C55: Pre-Orders Now Available
Earlier, there were reports that Samsung would introduce a new device in the Galaxy C series — the Samsung Galaxy C55.
Currently, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy C55 have begun.
According to the official description, the design of the Samsung Galaxy C55 emphasizes functional aesthetics, including a clean linear camera layout, sleek exterior with narrow bezels for comfortable handling, and a premium feel with a suede back cover. Additionally, the new device offers two color options: vibrant orange and stylish black, with a thickness of 7.8mm and weighing 180 grams.
In terms of display, the Samsung Galaxy C55 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 (FHD+), a 120Hz refresh rate, and a High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 1000 nits.
Performance-wise, the Samsung Galaxy C55 is powered by the first-generation Snapdragon 7 mobile platform, offering 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with support for up to 1TB expandable storage via a microSD card.
Reportedly, the first-generation Snapdragon 7 is built on Samsung’s 4nm process and includes one Cortex-A710 core clocked at 2.5GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.36GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
In terms of imaging, the Samsung Galaxy C55 features a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and a rear camera setup comprising a 50MP OIS wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera, with support for 4K video recording.
For fast charging, the Samsung Galaxy C55 comes with a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy C55 comes with operating system updates and security maintenance features, providing users with four generations of OS upgrade services and five years of security update services.
In terms of pricing, the Samsung Galaxy C55 is priced at 1999 yuan for the 8GB+256GB version and 2299 yuan for the 12GB+256GB version.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy C55 is a mid-range model focusing on imaging. The new device will officially go on sale on April 26th, so stay tuned for those interested.
Furthermore, as time progresses, there have been numerous reports about Samsung’s next-generation foldable smartphones.
A recent report from IT Home mentioned that insider Ross Young revealed new details about the color options and storage configurations of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6.
Previously, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 would offer color options such as light blue, light green, silver, and yellow. Young further clarified that the light green version would be named “Mint Green,” while the silver version might be called “Phantom Silver.”
Additionally, the color options for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will include some limited-edition special colors, such as “Artisan Black,” “Peach Pink,” and “White.”
The expected color options for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 include dark blue, light pink, and silver. Young confirmed that the names of the blue and silver colors would be slightly adjusted to “Navy Blue” and “Phantom Silver,” respectively.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will also offer limited-edition colors in “Artisan Black” and “White.”
For reference, the previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 offered eight color options, including Ice Mint, Cloud Lavender, Ice Lavender, Star White, Arctic Gray, Ocean Blue, Forest Green, and Sunlight Yellow, with the latter four being exclusive to the Samsung store.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 was available in five color options: Ice Blue, Midnight Black, Star White, Arctic Gray, and Ocean Blue, with the latter two being exclusive to the Samsung store.
At the same time, the storage configurations for these two foldable phones are likely to remain consistent with the previous generation. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will offer 256GB and 512GB versions, while the Galaxy Z Fold6 will offer 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions.
