Lowest-priced Snapdragon 8Gen3 flagship launches 5.5G network; Realme GT5 Pro receives system update

When it comes to 5.5G networks, many domestic smartphone brands have already announced that their new models will directly support network protocol upgrades through system updates. Recently, the Realme GT5 Pro, which is currently the lowest-priced flagship smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen3 processor, has also received a system update push. According to the update instructions, this update will enable support for 5.5G networks on the device, making it the first smartphone from @realme to support 5.5G networks.

According to the update instructions, this update brings several practical enhancements. Firstly, in terms of networking, it introduces support for the new 5.5G mobile network technology, improving network speed. Additionally, it adds support for 5G information from China Unicom and optimizes network stability and compatibility. According to public information, 5.5G is considered an intermediate stage of mobile communication technology between 5G and 6G, with approximately a tenfold improvement in connection speed, latency, positioning, and reliability.

Moreover, in terms of the camera, new features include controlling zoom during video recording via a dial, resulting in smoother video footage and easier operation. Additionally, a new inspiration color palette watermark function has been added, and camera stability has been optimized. Regarding the system, new features include volume adjustment in the control center, rotating alarm clock, borderless stitching of album pictures, sidebar screenshot option, and support for fuzzy first-letter search in desktop drawer mode. In addition to the mentioned improvements, last month the Realme GT5 Pro also introduced an OTA update for the AIGC elimination feature, which intelligently identifies and eliminates unnecessary elements from images, producing more natural and clean pictures.

According to public information, the Realme GT5 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8Gen3 processor and features a 3VC Iceberg cooling system, known for its epic performance, ensuring that users can play games and watch videos without worrying about overheating. It sports a 6.78-inch OLED curved screen with a resolution of 1.5K, a built-in 5400mAh battery, and supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The highest configuration includes 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, making it the lowest-priced model among Snapdragon 8Gen3 devices currently available.

The imaging capabilities of the device are also noteworthy, with a rear-mounted Sony customized flagship triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel LYT808 flagship main camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 ultra-clear periscope telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. It is currently the only model in its class equipped with the IMX890 ultra-clear periscope telephoto lens. Realme has also collaborated closely with Qualcomm and SenseTime in optical hardware, chip computing power, and imaging algorithms, introducing the industry’s first ultra-core telephoto imaging system, allowing the Realme GT5 Pro to lead the pack in telephoto imaging.
